Are we talking over people in our marginalised communities, and is it time to get out of the way?

So how do we create true diversity amongst the future leaders of our communities? Even within our LGBTIQA+ spectrum, there are large pockets of further marginalization and dialogue that can have people speaking for members of those communities instead of giving them a voice.

Do these people just need to step up and be more visual, are they shouting to be heard or are we simply not listening and talking over them?

Dean Arcuri and Jacob Thomas explore how we can create a stronger and more diverse pool of leaders to help navigate our LGBTIQA+ future and truly create a more inclusive narrative against the mainstream.

This segment aired on JOY 94.9 on 28th March 2018.
