Sydney Convicts win Bingham Cup for the 5th time, highlights & interviews live from the Grand Final

We are coming to you from Amsterdam for this episode of The Informer as the Sydney Convicts have once again won the Bingham Cup, the worldwide gay & inclusive rugby tournament.

If you’ve ever watched a Bingham Cup grand final, I think you’d agree that it is something special. All the competitiveness but filled with comradery and strength that really embodies what the tournament is all about.

This year, the Sydney Convicts beat the Gotham Knights 22 to 8 in a brilliant game that saw the Knights take the knee as their national anthem before play began, which was cheered on by the crowd filled with players and supporters from all around the world.

But the glory went to the Sydney Convicts who won the Bingham Cup for their 5th time in the tournaments nine-tour history, and join myself and Silas Palmer now as we head to the field minutes after the Sydney Convicts victory.

This segment aired on The Informer on JOY 94.9 on 11th June 2018
