German marriage equality, Madrid World Pride & making anti-terrorism bollards fabulous

Dean Arcuri chats to same-sex couple in Germany who watched the country’s parliament vote for marriage equality live. Beatue and and Bobby tell The Informer what the vote means for them.

World Pride in Madrid has just wrapped up and we find out what it’s like to celebrate the LGBTI community with 3.5 million people. Seb Delfino speaks to The Informer from Spain about just how fun World Pride was.

Finally, Dean catches up George Forgan-Smith who has made it his mission to make Melbourne’s new anti- terrorism concrete bollards fabulous. The bollards were erected from Southern Cross Station and Federation Square, to Queen Victoria Market.

The installation of the blocks were part of a 10 million dollar initiative to increase security measures across the state, and while no one disagreed with the move to make these spaces safer for all, there was one thing that many just couldn’t get their head around, why did they have to be so ugly?
