How straight allies can advance LGBTI equality

rainbow flag

On tonight’s edition of The Informer we spoke with former Straight Ally of the Year award winner and journalist Jill Stark about why straight allies need to do more than just wave a rainbow flag when it’s convenient for them.

Stark recently penned an op-ed on the issue after Liberal MP and longtime marriage equality advocate Warren Entsch said he would no longer stand up for the issue if the plebiscite got blocked.

We were also joined by trans advocate and co-founder of LGBTI Jobs Michelle Sheppard to chat about issues facing trans people who are seeking employment.
