Finally the Kitchen Table gets a budget and takes off to Sochi, much like the monkeys from the Wizard of Oz, to see what is happening on the ground for Australia’s Olympic Team.
Are our LGBTQI athletes protected? What are our team eating? Is Russian cuisine worth the years or training our athletes have to go through to make it to the Olympic squad?
Australian Olympic Committee media director Mike Tancred talks about how best LGBTQI athletes can make a statement about human rights and what Australia would do to protect their athletes.
While Mr Tancred cares for his team he has little love for Russian cuisine. Find out here what our athletes are eating, what they’re not eating and why Shannon wants to be selected for the Australian bobsled team.
And Australia’s very own Gay and Lesbian Lobby spokesmen Jed Horner gives advice for our nationals traveling through Russia while the controversial anti-homosexual propaganda law exists. Baby it’s cold outside, so stay safe.
