The Kitchen Table

7 Apr 2014

Blaze of glory

Food, nutrition, Pacific, Sex, This food is legal

We’ve talked religion, we’ve talked politics and now the final taboo: sex.

The Kitchen Table team split up and go out in a blaze of glory by going where not too many people have before. We discus food’s role in sex. It’s all very tasteful. Mostly delicious.

Producer Shannon, co-host Patrick and Technical producer Christian are joined by the very lovely and always informative Anna Brownfield from Poison Apple Productions.

Today’s topics include sex, food and advertising, aphrodisiacs – do they really work? Have the team tried them? And really if they’re not working why do people insist on eating them? We talk about the illegal killing of endangered animals to get some aphrodisiacs? What is that all about? The quartet then discus pornography and the diet of porn actors. You might not look like a porn star but listen in and you might just be able to get the diet of one. And last but not necessarily the least important subject, the team discus the sexualisation of chefs and the celebrification of hospitality.

This final show is dedicated to Dr John Kramer, a former senior lecturer of catering at Wellington Polytechnic. He failed show producer Shannon Gillies on the presentation of a sushi platter but then he is a good stick and great guy who introduced her to the amazing fish that is salmon.
