Ruby and James are HERE to once more, give you all of that sweet sweet multi gender attracted content that we all love so much. We have a super amazing guest today who we’re really excited to come and talk to us!
First of all is the Bi news, with a new US based study backing up data that suggests that multi gender attracted people are the most numerous queer demographic. We also talk about some of the queer content that’s been coming out of E3 in America, with some exciting queer protagonists in video games, including The Last of Us 2 and Assassins Creed: Odyssey (We’re nerds, sue us).
We then talk to our amazing guest Penny Wilson! Penny is a bisexual identifying writer and creative. In her work, she bounces between freelance jobs in writing for publications about love, sexuality and mental health and consulting small businesses on their digital marketing. When she’s not working, you’ll find her curled up on a couch with her latest sewing or knitting project or out with friends sharing shit YouTube videos, a couple of beers and good times. She is incredibly passionate about working towards a society that is inclusive, supportive and empathetic to all people. She loves people who are kind, friendly cats, hoarding plants and getting lost in a book. She hates the illegal detainment of asylum seekers in offshore prisons, the patriarchy and people who play their music out loud on public transport.
Penny is also a refugee advocate and activist working on community projects like Tamil Feasts – a social enterprise supporting recently settled asylum seekers through the celebration of food and culture. Serving up traditional Sri Lankan fare prepared by four Tamil men currently seeking asylum in Australia, three nights a week. Check out their page here, it’s an amazing initiative that deserves all of our support <3
Also please consider making a donation to the Asylum Seeker Resource Center, an absolutly incredible organisation. You can find their page here
We’re so luck to be able to do this show and YOU make it all possible. You can sign up for a Joy membership here, and every bit helps us produce the amazing content and bring you shows like this. Love you all! <3
