+Fine Fine Line by Andy Fraser. Title track to his 1984 solo album, after having made it big as a founding member of Free in the late 1960s. He was quite open about his sexuality this century and was HIV+ for quite a number of years before dying of a heart attack in 2015.
+Rock Lobster by The B52s. One of my favourite bands of all times, and one of the gayest. Three-fourths of the founding members came out.

*The Power and the Passion by Midnight Oil. The first single by Midnight Oil from their widely-acclaimed 1982 studio album 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The song is one of the band’s most famous, and it appeared on every Midnight Oil tour since the issue of 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 as well as at the WaveAid concert.
*Almost With You by The Church. The first single from The Blurred Crusade in 1982. It charted at #21 here in Australia, one place higher than their 2 best known songs Under the Milky Way and The Unguarded Moment. How bizarre*Fun Lovin’ by Dropbears. The first single released by the band once it dropped the name The Socket Set…this was 1982. They never got it together to put out an album, though, and finally disbanded in 1987*This is the Life by Mother Goose. Title track from their 1982 album.
*Daughters of the Northern Coast by Australian Crawl. 1982 single from Sons of Beaches, their third album- recorded in Hawaii with Mike Chapman, a Queenslander who made it big producing such bands as Blondie, Sweet, Suzy Quatro and The Knack.
*Only Lonely by The Divinyls. 1982 single release from their 1983 debut album Desperate…if you bought it overseas. Here in Australia it didn’t come out till their first compilation album in 1987, Essential. Front woman Chrissy Amphlett is from Geelong and went to h.s. there with my partner’s sister in law.
