Deadly Fringe is part of the Melbourne Fringe and we speak with two artists who will be performing in partnership with the ILBIJERRI Theatre company in this year’s program: Declan Furber Gillick an Arrernte man performing his one-man story, Big House Dreaming a piece of theatrical storytelling about the experience of a young Aboriginal person in the NT Youth Justice System; and Sandy Greenwood a Gumbaynggrir, Dunghutti and Bundjalung woman performing her show Matriarch, a work fusing music, storytelling, archival footage and hip-hop to tell the true stories of four generations of First Nations Women.
