Deadly Fringe: Declan Furber Gillick and Sandy Greenwood

Deadly Fringe is part of the Melbourne Fringe and we speak with two artists who will be performing in partnership with the ILBIJERRI Theatre company in this year’s program: Declan Furber Gillick an Arrernte man performing his one-man story, Big House Dreaming a piece of theatrical storytelling about the experience of a young Aboriginal person in the NT Youth Justice System; and Sandy Greenwood a Gumbaynggrir, Dunghutti and Bundjalung woman performing her show Matriarch, a work fusing music, storytelling, archival footage and hip-hop to tell the true stories of four generations of First Nations Women.
