Women’s Health Update

Following International Women’s Day on 8 March and continuing from last week’s episode on Women in Leadership, Rachel and Cal focus in on LGBTIQ women’s health this week.

Associate Professor Julie Mooney-Somers joins the shows to talk about research into the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQ women here in Australia – including the long-running SWASH Report as well as the more recent Unleash Study.

Then, Carolyn Gillespie joins the conversation. As Thorne Harbour Health‘s Director of Services and the Chair of LGBTIQ+ Health Australia, Carolyn delves into some of the health issues impacting LGBTIQ women and how we’re starting to address them.
