Today Rob shares the microphone with our efficient pod caster Julia and we bid a sad farewell to our wonderful newsreader, Tamsin. The theme is Everyday Objects. Two generic songs about things head the program: ‘Things’ by Bobby Darin and the ‘Sound Of Music’ favourite from Julie Andrews (My Favourite Things). Other objects include a book (My Colouring Book) from legend, Barbra Streisand, candles (Sixteen Candles) from doo-wop group, The Crests and a single bed (S-S-S Single Bed) from English group, Fox. The Beatles chime in with ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ and there is a classic fresh- sounding fifties song ‘Green Door’ by Jim Lowe.
