Musical Instruments

This week it’s the Musical Instruments’ time to shine. The focus is not on the song or the singers but rather the musical instruments that contribute to the various and different sounds in songs.  Familiar and not so familiar devices are represented. Mossy showcases the Trumpet in Penny Lane, the Flute in Living in the Past, the Bagpipes in It’s A Long Way To The Top, the Violin in Livin’ Thing, the universally used Harmonica in I Was Made To Love Her and Sailor’s Glass of Champagne using their custom-designed Nickelodeon comprising two upright pianos, two synthesizers, mini organs and glockenspiels.

Rob’s interesting line-up includes the Penny Whistle in You Can Call Me Al, the Harpsicord in Come On-A My Place, the Ocarina in Wild Thing, the Theremin in Good Vibrations, Buffy Sainte-Marie’s Jews Harp in Doggett’s Gap and one of the oldest instruments, the drums in Let There Be Drums.
