Welcome to another A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / remix flava and an emphasis on GLBTI content/artists.

This week marks my 600th show on Joy 949. I started off in 2004 with Wallpaper For The Soul, which then morphed into it’s current incarnation as A Touch Of Pink. It started as a chill out late night show, getting earlier time slots with more raucous music. Nowadays I try to source the tracks from the GLBTIQ community. Tonights show is one of my favourite musical genres, the cover version, and all have GLBTIQ content, and all of them are personal favourites. I hope you enjoy at least some, if not all, of them.

What Have I seen recently ?

Film : Early Man : A wonderful new Aardman stop motion animated feature, about the battle between the residents of the new bronze age verses those of the stone age. It sends up in a football match between the two teams, beautifully produced, and wryly humorous.

Film : Love, Simon : Beautiful, heartwarming film about a high school boy who is forced out of the closet by a nasty blackmailer. We’ve probably seen this all before, but being a big studio production, there’s more time for a great script, photography etc.
