Tonight we’re doing lots of new stuff, including newies from pretty boys Olly Murs, Lawson, Bob Sinclar and Valence amongst others. Plus it’s good to hear Dionne Bromfield again (Amy Winehouse’s god-daughter on a classic cover, and Dusty O on a rip-roaring high energy stormer.

My Song Of The Week is “All around the world” from Paul Lekakis. His debut single Boom Boom Boom (Let’s go back to my room) was released in 1987, but he’s kept himself busy, with films and music (and touring Oz in July) and this track (particularly with the Parralox remix) is very catchy, and we like to see the gay boys kept busy.

A special mention to Valence (aka Chris Nicolaou, a gay Melbourne lad above) with a wonderful electro-power ballad. Give it a listen below.

What have we seen around town this week ?

Ballarat Sovereign Hill Christmas in July : Mother and I went there for their special overnight package, including entry to Sovereign Hill, afternoon tea (including 2 huge fluffy scones, jam and cream), a light show down the main street (with artificial snow) and Christmas projections on the walls of the buildings and chimneys by the team who do the projections for Melbourne’s White Night. Then a 2 course Christmas dinner, comfortable and warm overnight accomodatin and a wonderful buffet breakfast the next morning. I know it sounds like an advertisement, but there were no freebies, it was just a wonderful occasion, and bloody freezing, but if you dress warmly, it’s a heckofalotta fun.
