Shayan and the Melbourne Amplified Strings collaborated on their new album to be launched at the Jazzlab on June 19, 2022 – an album inspired by the resilience of the artists of Victoria during the past two years of chaos and uncertainty for the industry. The Album is called LIVING IN THE MACHINE and features a magnificent artwork on the cover created by Aylsa McHugh.
David Moyle welcomed bandleader Omid Shayan to the Bent Notes studio to chat about his musical inspirations including folk tunes of his homeland Iran, Jazz, Classical and Hip-Hop – and most importantly the importance of community.
Hear what Omid had to say in this podcast from JOY 94.9.
