This week on the show, Kev, Luke and Meags talk about crowdfunding and video games! With Shenmue 3 recently getting its own big plug as part of Sony’s E3 press conference along with other big titles making big moves in the media over the last couple of years including Yooka-Laylee and Mighty No. 9, it seems like the idea of crowdfunding a video game is only getting bigger and bigger! However, there are plenty of games that have been successfully funded that haven’t been made yet… so what are the risks? Is it reasonable to ask folks for money for video games that aren’t even created yet? Perhaps it’s the only way certain developers can get their dream video games off the ground without the support of a major publisher? We talk about the success stories and the failures, and break it down for you!
