Shanul Sharma is supposed to be talking about his upcoming concert but it’s the the incredible story of his career trajectory that will have your eyes popping. From leathers to tux, from heavy metal band to opera in the alps, and more . Unbelievable but true!

Shanul is one of two tenors appearing in Songs My Father Taught Me (or Canzoni Di Mio Padre if you’re familiar with Italian) which is part of La Dolce Italia festival. Hear 250 odd years of popular Italian music with a 55 piece orchestra. Two shows, matinee and evening, on Sunday 1st May at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

Shanul ruled out Dean Martin and the Donkey Serenade but David and Sue are betting there’ll be lots of of heart-warmers on the programme, and probably some tear-jerkers too.
