Performing artist Rani Pramesti chats with David and Sue about the Next Wave Festival. Rani shares fascinating insights into her own journey to becoming an artist, including nurturing via Next Wave’s Kickstart programme. Rani has developed a performance-installation that is about to be performed as part of the 2016 festival.

Sedih//Sunno encourages people to listen to sadness. It is based on the trauma of abuse suffered by her mother as a young child. You can see a preview of this sensitive and intimate production on Rani’s web page.

This very different show will be at the Arts House, North Melbourne, 5-15 May.
