Your Weekly Guide to What’s Hot in Music

These are the tracks that people are talking about:

Title Artist Comment
Cash Machine Oliver Tree
  • I don’t know if I have been so intrigued by cover art as much as I was when I saw the album art for Oliver Tree’s latest release Cash Machine. I mean nobody in the history of forever has ever thought to don a savage bob, some gaudy wraparound sunnies while nursing a miniature version of themselves as a baby.  Pure genius!
  • The song itself is next level absurd, but I can’t lie – I loved ther track – and I think you will too.
  • His debut album UGLY IS BEAUTIFUL is coming soon with a release date of 27 March 2020.
Love Me Wrong Allie X / Troye Sivan
  • Allie X says that the song is about being misunderstood – and how relatable is that as a theme – sometimes despite our best efforts – people will still want to judge us – the key is to stand for what we believe in – its not our job to change the hearts and minds of others
    • Allie X posted on her socials this week “Love Me Wrong is a very personal song for me, which deals with the confusion and hurt associated with familial love. Mostly taken from feelings I had when I was younger, this is a song about being misunderstood by the ones closest to you. You know that you they love you, but you feel it isn’t for the full person you are.”
Live Forever (With Cheat Codes) Liam Payne
  • What a good time to release a beach side film clip than in the Australian summer
  • This is a romantic track where Liam tells us he wants to live forever – that’s actually adorable.
