JOY’s 21st Birthday

Society & Culture

It’s the Is Nothing Sacred birthday special, celebrating the 21st birthday of JOY 94.9.

The jam-packed show includes an interview with Ozlem Ozturk from Pets Aloud and fellow community broadcaster Khi-Lee Thorpe about their radio project supporting survivors of domestic violence to tell their stories, and a chat with our self-proclaimed “resident femmo” Lisa Dib.

Steph speaks to Georgina and Damien from the Diversity group in Shepparton about LGBT young people in regional areas, the team explain about why they love JOY, and regular listener Scottie starts a rumour about the dangers of kiwi fruit.

First aired 24th of Nobember, 2014.
