Trans Day of Remembrance is an annual day of observance that honours the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
Ember from the from Trans Liberation GC spoke to JOY Breakfast about organising a special Trans Day of Remembrance event in the Gold Coast with the Gold Coast Rainbow Communities, which took place near Macintosh Island Park.
