As we know, midsumma has kiced off with the huge outdoor Carnival day. A day often sprinkled with scantily clad folk living their best lives under the Melbourne sun.
But it’s not easy for everyone to get their kit off and embrace themselves with Body image dysphoria running rife in the queer community, but there seems to be a shift where more types of bodies are being embraced, and to help us break down this topic is Dr Sophie Dahlenberg Academic Lead for Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion with a focus on the psychology of Body image in the Queer community.
We dive into where body image issues stem from with our community and how to better embrace our bodies.
