It’s RADIOTHON! Among the mayhem we invite seasoned radio veteran and Transgender Victoria ED Sally Goldner in to talk community radio, exciting news for the trans communities and to welcome our special guest, the Australian arts and culture legend Noel Tovey, who joins us live on the line.
Uncle Noel tells of the power of his early radio show called Come Out with Uncle Noel which was groundbreaking for opening up the airwaves to queer people to express their lives and sexualities, many for the first time. Noel Tovey is an 80 year old dancer, actor, mentor, director and choreographer, whose one man show Little Black Bastard is still touring.
Sally and Noel hit it off a treat, and we also invite our newest Lefty Pinkoes crew member Lauren Hawkes to talk about the joys of being a Joy volunteer.
