Photographer Keo Lin on masculinity and culture, racism, identity, beauty and bathrooms.

Arts, Society & Culture

If Keo Lin were to approach you via a gay dating app with a request that you  pose naked for his camera, you’d be forgiven if you viewed him as a bit dubious or a tad creepy.

Hell, bryan was a bit wary – in fact, so too was Kath – when Keo rocked up to their house to take shots of bryan naked in the shower under a lukewarm stream of water.

Turns out Keo knows how to take a great photograph.

The shots he has amassed from many, many bathrooms were intended to feature in an exhibition; but the project has since morphed into a book that is being launched this September.

The book titled About Face features 40 Australian men in the nude, with nothing but their thoughts on race, racism, multiculuralism, identity and difference. It’s a very profound project – not dubious or creepy in the slightest.
