Trouble, protest and change
LISTEN TO PODCAST NOW
2021 definitely had a troubling start and there’s certainly been a lot of change experienced around the world in the last year. So this week we thought we would reflect this by highlighting songs from the 1970s about trouble, politics, and protest. Songs can be a great vehicle for highlighting an issue, expressing political discontent or calling for change. The Seventies was a turbulent decade, and many of it’s songs reflect the political concerns of the day. This week we’re highlighting songs with a message, many of which are still relevant. So grab your placards, put on your marching boots and join us in getting political.
