Single Review – Josh the Cat’s I’ll Remember You

Team. Put your dancing shoes on and get ready to step straight by into the 70’s! Josh the Cat delivers a funky beat ‘I’ll Remember You’”. With the super funky bass and dancey beat that will have you jumping out of your seat and dancing around the room. That’s what it did for me anyway. “Ill Remember You” is a cheeky little ear worm full of nostalgia and funk. When listening to this song all I see is people with luscious long hair and fro’s dancing on a dance floor to perfectly timed choreography.

I loved this song so, so much! Again, he’s got the nostalgic element to it, but brings it back to 2018 and makes it relevant again so it doesn’t seem dated at all!

Josh the Cat is a Melbourne singer, songwriter and producer from Melbourne. After a long stint in Berlin he’s returned to Melbourne and is bringing his European influence to his music to make a more diverse sound. Of course, not all of his songs have this 70’s nostalgia element to it. With his songs like “Happiness” and “Let’s Start” we can see there is a broad array of sound here that have great hooks and a sincere honesty in the writing.

He seems unafraid to bring heart and emotion intelligence to his music, but is able to have fun with it!
