A cover of a UK top 20 hit from 1992 starts us off this week. Coming from Melbourne-based producer Andy Evans, out-and-proud Sydney-based producer Luke Nutley and former I’m Talking lead-singer (alongside Kate Ceberano) Zan Abeyratne. This has been a labour of love, considering Zan laid down the vocals over a year ago. Check out music director Chris Jameson’s interview with Luke Nutley from May 2012.
New York-based favourite Inaya Day returns with a track produced by Melbourne, Sydney and temporarily Hobart-based independent out-and-proud producer Nick Jay, just in time for summer. The video features a couple of JOY cameo appearances from Wednesday breakfast’s Ginni as well as Friday breakfast’s Anna Murphy.
Sydney-born, Hong Kong-based, out-and-proud DJ-producer Evan Steer, aka DJ Stonedog, has a swag of remixes for “Push to the Limit” from the likes of Pete Hammond, Starlab and the one we’re running with, from Matt Pop.
MKTO have had two plantinum-selling singles in Australia with “Thank You” and JOY favourite “Classic”. “God Only Knows” should emulate its predecessors’ success.
