New music to weekdays (12 October, 2016)
| Olly Murs | Grow Up | (SME) | ||
| Bruno Mars | 24K Magic | (ATL/WMA) | ||
| Glades | Drive | (EMI) |
Kicking off our new music this week is British singer-songwriter Olly Murs. His fifth studio album is due out on 11 November and the second single, ‘Grow Up’, is with us now.
American singer-songwriter-producer Bruno Mars was going to have to work hard to equal or better ‘Uptown Funk’, his massive hit of 2014 with Mark Ronson. It seems he’s managed it; ’24K Magic’ (24-carat magic) is disco-funk to the max, and we think Bruno has another big one on his hands.
Aussie trio Glades are back with a second single to follow up their debut release, ‘Speechless’. ‘Drive’ is more excellent indie-pop from a group whose members met in high school in Sydney just a few years ago.
Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
