Tim and Sam from Brisbane-based indie-pop band Cub Sport have recently come out as gay and announced they are in a relationship. The band will be selling special LGBTQIA merchandise on their upcoming tour and 50% of the proceeds will be going to a LGBTQIA youth help organisation. I Can’t Save You is an excellent debut on our weekday list and kicks off our new music this week.

Our favourite Aussie pop twins, The Veronicas, follow up their recent smash hit, ‘In My Blood’, with ‘On Your Side’. We think it will definitely achieve another top ten chart position, and we know you’re going to love it.

Sydney-based out-and-proud, classically trained Bielfield is back with the fourth single lifted from his debut pop EP. ‘Blow Your Mind’ is perhaps a matter of having saved the best for last – it’s a cracker of a tune.

British four-piece Little Mix debuted the first single from a forthcoming fourth studio album on the UK’s X Factor earlier this week, simultaneously releasing it around the world. It’s shot straight to the top of the download charts everywhere. ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ is a massive hit about to happen.

Zimbabwean-born Australian rapper, hip-hop artist and singer-songwriter Tkay Maidza is our big tip for international stardom. The second single, ‘Simulation’, from her debut album is red-hot dance-pop, and we think you’re going to love it.

Neiked is – according to reports – a socially awkward but highly talented Swedish musician. Even the record company hasn’t met Neiked, but they’re banking on a hit with ‘Sexual’ – and we can hear why.

UK boy band The Vamps have established their own record label (with distribution through EMI worldwide to continue) and are working on new material. They’ve teamed up with Norwegian producer Matoma, an ‘All Night’ is the first product of this new direction for the band.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
