New music to weekdays (18 January, 2017)
| JP Cooper | September Song | (UMA) | ||
| Snakehips & MØ | Don’t Leave | (COL/SME) |
A little bit of a flurry last week as we kicked off a new year in music is quickly followed by a little bit of a lull for our second week.
John Paul (JP) Cooper is an English singer-songwriter who is best known for featuring on the Jonas Blue single ‘Perfect Strangers’, which peaked at #6 on the ARIA charts late last year and was 2x platinum certified. He now has a solo single out that has already achieved a top ten position in the UK charts. JP will be hoping that ‘Don’t Leave’ performs similarly in Australia. He kicks off our new music this week.
Both artists involved in the other addition this week have a great recent track record. British production duo Snakehips had a massive hit with ‘Cruel’ featuring Zayn, and Danish singer-songwriter MØ did very well with ‘Final Song’. ‘Don’t Leave’ should be a surefire hit for the collaboration.
Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
