Honey is finally out and it has been collecting glowing reviews the world over. Robyn‘s eighth album shows a softer, more emotional side, but the latest single to come from it has some pep in its step. ‘Ever Again’ appears at the end of the record, bringing her trademark synth-pop back after a rollercoaster of sound.
American sister duo REYNA have had a busy year – they’ve performed at pride festivals and are currently finishing a two-part EP that’s due before the year’s out. Their latest, ‘Heartbeat’, sees out-and-proud Vic singing with Gab about a breakup. It’s got a Robyn vibe about it, and gets us excited about the music that’s still to come from this electro-pop duo.
Sydneysider Vera Blue has been jetting between Oz and LA while writing some brand-new music. ‘All the Pretty Girls’ marks a change of pace and sound for the singer (who you might also know as Celia Pavey) as she attempts to break the commercial market. Can this one continue the successes of ‘Lady Powers’? We wait and see.
It’s been a breakout year for local DJ-producer Tyron Hapi. He’s written and produced for a number of local and international artists and has delivered a bucketload of tracks of his own, like ‘One Last Time’. Featuring the vocals of Chicago-born singer Lucas Marx, this one’s bound to get you dancing.
Rudimental have dropped the latest from their forthcoming third studio album, Toast to Our Differences, due 25 January. The British band have teamed up with Scottish singer Tom Walker for ‘Walk Alone’, an uptempo, feel-good bop about strength, help and friendship. We think you’ll be unable to stop yourself from singing along.
The tropical house master himself has just been on Aussie shores playing to sold-out audiences in Melbourne and Sydney. To celebrate, Kygo has released ‘Happy Now’. It’s a fusion of the Norwegian DJ and a Swedish singer, Sandro Cavazza, that goes off with a bang. We reckon this one will get played all summer long.
American DJ-production duo The Chainsmokers have spent the last six months dropping singles left, right and centre. Their newest, ‘This Feeling’, is the seventh single from their forthcoming second studio album. It features vocals from American country-pop singer Kelsea Ballerini, who has an Australian connection – she married Aussie country singer Morgan Evans last year. It’s already a local top 20 hit and we think you’ll love hearing it during your work day.
