Get your ears around a feast of female singers new to Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix.

JOY favourite Samantha Jade is back with a bop to put a spring in your step. ‘Bounce’ is the lead single from a new album due next year, and marks a return to Sammi’s RnB-pop roots. Get your bounce on and practise your chair dancing!

The current political and social climate could give some people a reason to worry, but Sydney producer CLYPSO wants us all to come together and stand up for our beliefs. She’s channelled her energy into ‘D.Y.S. (Defend Your Situation)’, which is full of synth bubbles and horns to lift you up and a meaty bassline to keep you grounded. We reckon you’ll be singing out for what you believe with this one.

Aussie singer Bella Hunter has been making waves in her new home of Los Angeles. The daughter of late Dragon singer Marc Hunter and sister of DJ Jackson Hunter, Bella was the first US-based female singer to be signed to Armin van Buuren’s label Armada. ‘Deja Vu’ is the follow-up to Waves and it’s made for the summer.

Disney’s latest live-action movie, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, is due to hit cinemas on 18 October. Its soundtrack features a big anthem from Bebe Rexha. The American singer was a co-writer on ‘You Can’t Stop the Girl’ and comes on the heels of her 30th-birthday present to fans, Not 20 Anymore.

It’s not just humans who love to boogie. According to Tiësto and Mabel, heavenly beings don’t mind showing off on the dance floor either. You can strut your stuff to ‘God is a Dancer’, the latest from the Dutch DJ. We think your hands will be up in the heavens while you’re getting down to this one.

No one likes dealing with baggage at the airport, or after a relationship ends. Gryffin and Gorgon City try to cast it from their minds in ‘Baggage’, and the whole ordeal is made much better thanks to AlunaGeorge‘s vocals. It’s the latest from Gryffin’s forthcoming debut album and the follow-up to OMG, his collab with CRJ.

One of Canada’s favourite exports is soon to deliver her twelfth English-language album, and we’re here for it. Ahead of the release of Courage on 15 November, Céline Dion has blessed us with a small taste test. ‘Imperfections’ is the lead single and does everything that a belter from Céline should. We can’t wait to hear the album in its entirety!
