Piano Perfection – Gerard Willems

Gerard Willems is best known for his award-winning ABC Classics recordings of Beethoven’s 36 piano sonatas, five piano concertos,Diabelli Variations and the Emperor DVD. He was born in Holland in 1946 and moved to Australia with his family when he was twelve. He studied piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with the distinguished pedagogue Gordon Watson, and went on to win the Queen Victoria Piano Competition.

Reuniting with Australia’s revolutionary Stuart & Sons pianos, ARIA-Award-winning pianist Gerard Willems presents over two hours of solo piano music composed by Norway’s greatest composer, Edvard Grieg.  Morning Mood is out now thanks to Universal Music and ABC Classics. image004 (1)
