Marvellous Mark Adams from our own travel show Escape Pod joined Macca this week as co-host as we started our Victorian election coverage. We know we are off to the polls on November 29, and its was time to take a look at some of the key factors for the election.

Our resident expert is Dr Benno Engels from RMIT, who specialised in contemporary politics, the media and local government.  We discuss polling, key seats and bellwether seats for both parties. We also shone our Community Spotlight on Team Melbourne – a collective sporting organisation which oversees a myriad of LGBT sports organisations in Melbourne.

Songlines is an Indigenous music organisation, performing at the Grand Final After Party at the MCG, lending some historic cultural influence to the biggest sporting day on the Melbourne calendar.

Dr Russell Harrison, a vet from Lort Smith animal hospital talks about our pets as companion animals, and Matt Hale from Rising Tide talks us through coupling up your dollars as a same sex couple. Finally, we have a look at the AFL Finals, some horse racing as we move to the Spring Racing Carnival and some cricket.
