In the studio Sonja and Dr Emma talk about Young Adult fiction with Jordie Kerr freelance writer and expert on the genre.
We discovered it has ‘mash-ups’ and genre mixing, it has great appeal, elemental, some Horror and plenty of adolescent angst and romance ! But mostly we discovered our own Guilty Pleasures in the style of writing…and it’s not all just about “sparkly vampires”, it’s often about feeling belonging, connection, and learning to feel ok !
