How The Fans Were Won: Part 1

What an exhausting weekend it was….indeed…..the Supanova convention in Melbourne was a success and the Squeamer was tested standing 6 hours plus for sound bites and chats ….but it WAS worth it yes indeed !

We spoke to the super Woman comic creator writer Gail Simone from DC Comics, feminist, fan and writer of some of these: Dead Pool, Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman and now Batgirl, a strong woman role model, she spoke about the very 1st transgender transwoman,bisexual character that she has created in a mainstream comic: Alysia Yeoh Barbara Gordon’s house mate in issue#19 Batgirl !!

We also had a chat to the boys of Nerdgasm !
Avi Bernshaw and Luke Bleeser in their GEEKGASMIC! comedy show on now in Batmania/melbourne , just think Bison and Blue and get along to see them cos if you are a gamergeek you are gonna love this!! There IS still time:

Also the wonderful Mr Marc Huntington arrived at the studio and chatted to us all about Fan Art and his experiences with fans and the awesome art of their icons in popular culture….and special treat coming up is Ladies Night exhibition this May at Artboy Gallery here in Batsville Australia, it is all about celebrating the women of popular culture YAY !!
