episode 185

Oct 1st The Last Show to Air for 2013!

Welcome to the very last LIVE radio broadcast for 2013!

In the studio LIVE we have DylStick returning a.k.a Dylan Adler from Joy 94.9’s Gen Next and Queer Young Thing TV show. He communicates very well indeed on the topics of upcoming releases in the games-verse and what great games are coming up in the next while, including news on Mass Effect 4!

Also we have the super Ozmosis in the studio a.k.a Emmet O’Cuana from Beardy and The Geek and The Momus Report, talking to us about sooo much comics goodieness from Oz including: The Deep & other Gestalt Comics,  the web work of  Ben Byrne’s Kranburn, and news from the Pandeia comics camp including a chat with the digital comic creator himself Paul Caggegi who talks to us (thanks Emmet!) about how to, why and what- are the benefits of doing Web Comics!

Ozmosis does the imaginable: Reads a beautiful poem from something called The Undertaker Morton Stone, a darkly comic series by Gary Chaloner, Ashley Wood and Ben Templesmith:

The Man From Thunderhead

Each stormy night the wind does wail, The crow does scream, the heavens too rail In the moist, cold corridors of the dead, Dwells the Man from Thunderhead.

“My name is Stone,” the skeleton said “Like my heart… cold and unforgiving. “I had a life, a lifetime ago,

“Filled with loving warmth and feeling.”

But bliss suddenly turned to curse, When black Mr. Noddy came a-callin’. Nip nippy he went, until child and wife were all spent, And to make matters worse, Sow’s ear from silk purse, Stone prefers now the dead to the breathin’.

Wife and daughter do rot in the old family plot The Undertaker’s pup as well is worth grievin’ All happiness has fled For they are all dead But Stone’s eyes with a purpose are gleanin’.

“I’ll cruise in my hearse of death’s jet black “Down the highway to Hell, past the Crossroads and back. “Swinging my stock in trade, the ol’ shovel and spade… “Until Noddy is found and bloody retribution is paid.”

“I wish I was dead.” “I wish I was dead.”

whispered the Man from Thunderhead.’

…And The Squeamer spoke on the phone with Neil Foley of Monster Pictures about the upcoming Horror & Cult Film Festival:
Monster Fest, which will be scaring us back into the movie cinemas in November!

Neil chatted about all the awesome horrific and fun events including Monster Micro-Nasties : The Cannibal Project, how to develop and sell your Horror Cult Exploitation movie masterpiece and more!

So get ready for a hideous and exciting October and November where creepies are definitely spawned!..and see you in 2014….but we will have heaps of Special Long Play Podcasts to come!
