Fleassy Malay

“A rainbow isn’t actually seven colours; in fact it’s mostly blurred lines.”

Experience a unique fusion of spoken word poetry and music with Fleassy Malay and The Blurred Lines. Fierce-Gentle is a show where thought-provoking lyrics meet haunting melodies sprinkled with a touch of sass. Exploring their fluid nature, Fleassy Malay takes us on a journey of survival, gender, queerness, feminism, heart ache, passion, and love. They ask “What does it mean to hold fierce boundaries yet still live with an open heart?”.

Fleassy’s words are often tender, raw, and thought-provoking, imbued with a playful wit and infectious humour. Delivered with sincerity, they captivate the audience and foster a feeling of unity and connection among listeners.

The Blurred Lines provide a musical backdrop to Fleassy’s poetry, adding depth and emotion to the performance. A fusion of velvety vocals coupled with live music, creating a haunting and ethereal soundscape that complements Fleassy’s words perfectly.

In a world where the boundaries between art forms are becoming increasingly blurred, Fleassy Malay and The Blurred Lines stand out as a shining example of what can be achieved when different forms of expression are combined.

Life’s a party. At some point we all have to leave; some of us just choose when. After sell out shows at Melbourne, Adelaide and Edinburgh Fringe – Melbourne Fringe 2017. Best Performance Nominee Twenty Minutes To Nine is BACK on home turf!!

A show about the pivotal moments in life; death, grief, loss, love, and the support of the people that get you through it. With the aid of a guitar, loop pedal and an accordion, Amanda transports you into her world; a collection of stories that are as hard-hitting as they are hilarious.

When confronted with suicide, Amanda and her friends didn’t know if or how to speak about it; what they learnt was that they had to. Named ‘Top Ten Must See Shows at The Edinburgh Free Fringe’ (Culture Trip), Twenty Minutes To Nine invites you to join the conversation and raise a glass to the ones you love.

This project received Cash for Equity through the Fringe Fund, as part of Radical Access.

“A brave, insightful, heart-wrenching solo performance.”- Fritz Magazine, Adelaide.
“Engaging and thought-provoking” ★★★★ – Fringe Guru.
“So simple and so honest it is positively magnificent” ★★★★ – whatdidshethink.com
“Wonderfully refreshing and frank.”– fringereview.co.uk.
“Like a sledgehammer made of feathers to the heart.” – Woody, audience member.
