Sunday Arts Magazine: Prudence Flint

Award winning Prudence Flint chats to the team at Sunday Arts Magazine about her exhibition “Hunting and Fishing.”

Prudence lives and works in Melbourne. With no background in art, she developed an interest during the eighties when she looked through many art galleries. She graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1989 and held solo exhibitions around Australia.

Prizes and awards include: Finalist in the Archibald Portrait Prize in 2015 and 2016.
Winner Doug Moran Prize in 2004
Winner Portia Geach Memorial Award in 2010
Also won the Len Fox Painting Award in 2016

Prudence has seven large pieces, entitled “Hunting and Fishing”, on display in the NGV Triennial. In “Hunting and Fishing”, Prudence is encouraging people to think, to search for ideas and find out more about things.

The Triennial is at the NGV from December 2023 until 27th April 2024.
