One of New Zealand’s most renowned musicians is the “King of Dubs” Tiki Taane, who is about to set out on his Australian tour with Optimus Gryme.

I had the opportunity to talk to Taane about how he turned a 2011 incident into a chance to take a stand for freedom of speech in New Zealand, his creative process, what fans can expect on his 2013 tour, and why he thinks The much maligned show The GC has a positive side to it as well.
