Connecting the Community – GLOBE Community Awards 2017

The GLOBE Community Awards recognise the inspiring work in Victoria’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities.

Social isolation is a major problem in the general community, and those that identify as LGBTI share a large part of this burden. Community and corporate organisations, such as services and social groups help reduce the social isolation through creating programs that help network LGBT people and connect them with our community. This award recognises the work by organisations in helping to reduce social isolation and increasing the connections of LGBTI people to our community, congratulations to Midsumma Festival on their win.

GLOBE stands for Gay & Lesbian Organisation of Business & Enterprise and is Victoria’s professional, business, social and community networking organisation for the LGBTI community. Their aim is to further career and business opportunities in Victoria through networking, development and engagement with the broader community.
