Volunteer of the Year – GLOBE Community Awards 2017

The GLOBE Community Awards recognise the inspiring work in Victoria’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex communities.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the LGBTI  community. Countless community groups provide support to our community through a range of activities and services and rely on volunteers to achieve their mission. These groups provide a place to feel safe, get help, and make friends, reducing isolation for LGBTI individuals in our community. This years award winner is Myka Williams, recognising the excellent work he does volunteering in the LGBTI community.

GLOBE stands for Gay & Lesbian Organisation of Business & Enterprise and is Victoria’s professional, business, social and community networking organisation for the LGBTI community. Their aim is to further career and business opportunities in Victoria through networking, development and engagement with the broader community.
