The Informer is back with a bang: Melbourne PrEP drama, Indonesia gay arrests and helping gay men in Chechnya

After a short break The Informer came back to JOY with two breaking news stories and how Australians can help gay men escape Chechnya.

Dean Beck joins Shannon Power to reveal the surprising news that a man on Melbourne’s PrEPX trial has tested HIV positive. They explore how that might have happened and what it means for the HIV community.

Next up, Shannon speaks to the Russian LGBT Centre about what they’re doing to help gay men escape persecution and violence in Chechnya. The Russian LGBT Centre explains what Australians can do to help their Chechen brothers.

Finally, Andreas Harsono of Human Rights Watch tells Shannon about the news that 141 men at a sauna were targeted by Indonesian police in Jakarta and detained.
