Concerning changes to the NSW Public Health Act and talking Marriage Equality with NZ MP Louisa Wall : 19th September 2017

Last week, the New South Wales state government amended the Public Health Act and there are concerns about the consequences for NSW’s LGBTIA community. Ruby and Ian spoke to HIV activist Nic Holas, about his concerns with some of the changes, and what they could mean.

They also speak with to MP Louisa Wall, of the New Zealand Labor party. Ms Wall presented the private member’s bill that legalised Marriage Equality in New Zealand in 2013.

We talked about Marriage Equality and also the upcoming New Zealand Election.

Remember, if your postal vote form hasn’t arrived by September 25, you can call the information hotline 1800 572 113 or go online to abs dot com dot au to order a new form.

 You’ll have until October 18th to request a replacement, and the ABS strongly recommends you return your vote by October 27 to make sure it’s counted. The official cut off point is 6pm, November 6th.
