Aussies from 1993’s Voices for Life:

*Boys from the Bush by Lee Kernaghan. Kernaghan has been well-rewarded last decade, with an Order of Australia medal in 2004 and Australian of the Year in 2008…and yet I’ve never heard of him! I guess it’s that country music thing…

*You don’t Know Me by The Sharp. The band formed in Melbourne in 1988 with Charlie Rooke on guitar and lead vocals, Allan Catlin on double bass and lead vocals, and Danny Simcic / Tony Day on drums. This is from their 1993 debut, This is the Sharp.

*This Isn’t Love by Boom Crash Opera. From their 4^th studio album, Fabulous Beast from, of course, 1993. They also put out an EP the previous year. They, too are from Melbourne.

*Calling You by Kate Ceberano and Andrew Pendlebury. This one seems to be confusing on date of release…some sites say 1992, others 1993. It was her 10^th solo single. She’s also from Melbourne…and a Scientologist. Why???

*Drive me Crazy by Peter Andre. Debut single released in Australia in 1992, taken from his 1993 debut album, Peter Andre, which was only released in Australia and New Zealand. It’s also on that Voices for Life album.

*Don’t Sell it by The Cruel Sea. I can’t seem to find this in the Cruel Sea discography but it was released on the 1993 Voices for Life album, the proceeds to which went to the AIDS Trust of Australia.
