For over 28 years, JOY has been the voice of the LGBTI community. We have grown from a small, part-time station to broadcasting 24 hours a day with a slate of 27 different shows, broadcast by over 250 volunteers. We’re proudly Australia’s only rainbow radio station and one of only 3 full-time, free to air LGBTI radio stations in the world.
While we have grown enormously in that time, we’re not done yet. We have moved into the Victorian Pride Centre in new studios that set us up for a big future. JOY has big plans to provide more services for our community. We at World Wide Wave want to keep bringing the stories of the LGBTI community around the globe to you.
But we need your help! This year we are inviting you to grow with us. It’s Radiothon – and yes we have prizes to give away – but we want your memberships and donations to keep evolving JOY for a new generation.
