Sydney-based out-and-proud actor-singer-songwriter Brendan Maclean kicks off our new music this week. Brendan has been honing his craft around the world, and courtesy of an alignment with Universal Music Publishing has access to some new producers. If ‘Tectonic’ is an example of work to come, you’ll be hearing more from Mr Maclean on JOY.

Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Jason Singh has set himself a challenge to write, record and produce six singles in 12 months or a new song every eight weeks. The Jason Singh Project kicks off ‘with ‘Quicksand’, and the Sunset Child remix is reminiscent of Robin Schulz’s ‘Sugar’ – never a bad thing. Seven weeks and counting to the next one, Jason!

The Voice Australia 2015 runner-up Joe Moore gets his turn now that the dust has settled around winner Ellie Drennan and her finale song, ‘Ghost’. Joe’s finale song, ‘Invincible’, was thought by many to be the stronger song of the two. The charts will tell next week.

Sydney DJ-producer Tigerlily impressed us last year with her debut single, ‘Faith’. If anything, ‘Feel the Love’ is a more accessible and radio-friendly song – we think you will enjoy it.

American singer-songwriter, fashion designer, actress and co-founder of No Doubt Gwen Stefani is back! ‘Used to Love’ is the first offering from a long-awaited third solo album.

British band Florence + The Machine are back with the fourth single from their third studio album. ‘Delilah’ will delight.

What can we say about Adele’s first new single in three years and the lead from her new album, 25, due out 20 November? Hello will be a smash hit all around the world and you’ve probably already bought your copy. We’re sure you’ll enjoy hearing it on JOY as well.

South African-born, Brooklyn-based Jean-Philip Grobler heads up five-piece band St Lucia. The first single, ‘Dancing on Glass’, from a forthcoming second studio album, is dreamy electro-pop we think you will appreciate.

Set your alarm and tune into Rochén and Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
