New music this week kicks off with the British indie rock-pop-dance band formed in 1997, the Kaiser Chiefs. Hole in My Soul is the second single from their sixth studio album and is just a whole lot of pop perfection.

Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Maribelle is a new signing for Warner Music and we think you’ll love her debut single, Shout.

We’ve loved singles number one and two from British singer-songwriter Dua Lipa, and number three, Blow Your Mind (Mwah), is certainly no disappointment.

We’re claiming a former Serbian Eurovision representative for Australian content this week. Danica Radojicic performed for Serbia in 2011. She’s now known simply as Nina and is actually living and studying in Melbourne and producing new music too. Colors of My Love includes a very Melbourne video clip as well as being an excellent euro-styled pop song.

Aussie expat and worldwide superstar Sia returns with the first single from her forthcoming eighth studio album, due out early next year. The Greatest features Kendrick Lamar and the video includes regular dance artist Maddie Ziegler as well as 49 dancers representing the 49 victims of the Orlando Pulse nightclub massacre.

Jessica Sanchez is an American singer-songwriter of Mexican and Filipino heritage who was runner-up on American Idol in 2012. She was recently chosen to record and perform ‘Stronger Together’, Hillary Clinton’s official 2016 presidential campaign song. We’ve added both a queer and an Australian angle with a just-approved remix by Sydney DJ-producer Dom de Sousa, aka Supervixen, and a JOY-exclusive radio edit. All of this makes it a perfect JOY anthem.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
