I’m also loving the new song from Gia, Nabiha is a rather wonderful new singer from Denmark, and Sheena Rose is a drag queen … who would have guessed? And she could have been the real scary spice. She’s a shocker but the Dirty Cash cover is not bad, surprisingly.

My Single Of The Week is ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ by Mary Lambert. She has a new album out now with the same title. It’s a great album, full of catchy but intelligent songs, she has a lovely voice and is a plus size lesbian. She had also has an ep out with a track talking about body issues. It’s called ‘Welcome To The Age Of My Body’ and is worth searching out if you’re interested.

What have I seen lately?

NT Live production of the play Skylight: (The play starred Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan as two lovers getting together 10 years after breaking up. Meanwhile Bill had become a rich restaurant entrepreneur and Carey had gone into teaching underprivileged high school students. So, a big difference in their ideologies. The play was mostly their discussions, arguments etc. The writing was very clever as the play was quite intense at times but varied from humorous to exhausting and back again. Excellent writing and superlative acting.
